Trinity Audioplayer ready...#### Top city for grads Sunnyvale ranked No. 7 among midsize cities in CoworkingCafe’s annual study on the top cities for college graduates. Arlington, VA was ranked No. 1.

CoworkingCafe analyzed the factors that help this year’s graduates navigate their first steps into the professional world, from employment opportunities and day-to-day costs to lifestyle offerings.

Sunnyvale has the second-highest median income among midsize cities at almost $109,800. Among cities its size, it also has the third-highest share of young adults ages 18-34 holding a bachelor’s degree (70%) and offers the second-largest employer-based health insurance coverage for young adults (83%).

Even so, Sunnyvale slipped from second place last year after a roughly $22,400 income correction, in addition to youth unemployment that rose to 8%. According to the study, “These figures reflect the broader Bay Area tech correction, in which ongoing restructuring at firms like Synopsys and layoffs at major employers have weighed on the local job market.”
