YouTube is giving Indian creators a bigger role in its push to turn videos into shopping opportunities, with Amazon product tagging coming to the country soon. The platform announced a series of updates at Made on YouTube 2026 aimed at making the entire creator experience easier, from making and editing videos to finding audiences, working with brands and earning through product recommendations. YouTube is also widening its affiliate shopping programme to 35 markets by the end of this year.
Amazon Shopping Is Coming to Indian YouTube #
YouTube is bringing its Amazon shopping integration to India and Brazil in the coming weeks, giving eligible creators a new way to earn from products featured in their videos. Creators will be able to tag Amazon products directly, while brands can offer special incentives such as higher commissions for selected campaigns. YouTube will also adapt product links for viewers in different countries, potentially allowing creators to earn from eligible purchases made by international audiences.

YouTube Is Turning Studio Into an AI-Powered Workspace #
The platform is adding more tools to YouTube Studio to help creators decide what to make and improve how their videos perform. New features will surface useful trends from a channel's previous content, while AI feedback can suggest changes to storytelling, pacing and structure. Creators can also experiment with thumbnails and different video cuts to see which versions connect better with their audiences.
Gemini Will Help Creators Edit Videos #
YouTube is taking its Gemini integration further by adding a conversational editing assistant to Shorts and the YouTube Create app. Instead of manually making every change, creators can describe what they want and ask the AI to rearrange clips, tighten the edit, change pacing or match music to the footage. They can still switch back to the conventional editing timeline, keeping manual control over the final video.
YouTube Wants to Influence What You Watch — and How Creators Earn #
The changes extend beyond creation tools. YouTube is developing Ask YouTube into a shopping assistant that can help viewers compare products, while Custom Feeds will let users build recommendation streams around specific interests. Shorts will also support seasons and episodes, giving creators a more organised format for ongoing series. Meanwhile, YouTube is expanding creator-brand tools, live features, AI-powered moderation and protections against misuse of creators' faces and voices — pushing the platform further toward an ecosystem where creators can make, grow, collaborate and monetise from one place.
