"Customers often describe a small problem. The problem right in front of them. They do not imagine that you could deliver on their wildest dreams." Aha! CTO and co-founder Dr. Chris Waters recently shared this on Teresa Torres' podcast, Just Now Possible. He was talking about thoughtful product discovery — and the delight of giving customers more than they ever thought to ask for. We brought that same ambition to a busy Q3 2026.
This quarter, we introduced new ways to bring customer research into product plans, explore designs with prototypes, and give Elle (the AI assistant) more work to do.
Let's start with Elle. New AI skills let you define how recurring work (such as market research and feature specs) should be done. Define a skill once, and Elle applies it automatically at the right time. When you have recurring tasks, you can put Elle on a schedule and get notified when the results are ready. And with MCP connectors, you can give Elle secure access to information in tools like GitHub, Jira, Sentry, and Slack.
See how to put Elle to work in our next live tutorial on Oct. 22, 2026. Register now —>
We also launched the Aha! desktop app for Mac and Windows. There, you can chat with Elle, review to-dos, and update product plans without another browser tab. And there is a new space for Elle in My work, too. Start a chat or return to an earlier conversation alongside your records, to-dos, and documents.
You also have more ways to explore designs before development begins. Compare different directions for prototypes, apply your own design system, and put realistic concepts in front of customers sooner.
For PMs eager to get hands-on experience building with AI, we recently hosted an AI Builder Day with Pragmatic. We gave participants free access to Aha! Builder, shared advice on AI app building, and challenged them to create an application that solves a real problem. Congratulations to the creators of the winning apps! Let's take a look at the top features launched across Aha! software in Q3:
New in Aha! Roadmaps
This quarter, we added more depth to prototyping in Aha! Roadmaps and made it simpler to involve the teammates you work with often.
- Compare multiple prototype variations: Ask Elle togenerate several approaches from a feature description, then review them side by side on a whiteboard before choosing one to develop further.
- Make prototypes that match your product: Set up areusable design system with your colors, typography, layouts, and components. Then, apply it automatically to prototypes you create with Elle.
- Reach frequent collaborators at once:Create user groups for the people you regularly work with, then @mention them in comments, assign to-dos, or add them as watchers in one step (available inAha! Roadmaps Enterprise+ ).
New in Aha! Discovery
Now, it is easier to get research out of the interview archive and into the conversations and decisions that follow.
- Share interview clips on Microsoft Teams and Slack: Ask Elle to identify key moments in an interview, thenshare clips so teammates can watch and discuss the feedback.
- Give participants more control over scheduling: Let customers schedule andreschedule interviews themselves. Calendars and confirmation emails update automatically when plans change.
- See the impact of your research: Use11 ready-made reports to track interview activity, spot recurring themes, understand customer coverage, and connect research to your product roadmap.
New in Aha! Ideas
Portal admins now have more control over the customer experience — from the emails customers receive to the settings that shape the portal.
- Send on-brand customer updates: Customizeemail templates with your logo, colors, fonts, and dynamic details. And send from a verified company domain withAha! Ideas Advanced .
- Navigate portal settings faster: Use the updated portalsettings (now organized by experience area) or search by keyword to quickly find options for branding, feedback, access, email, and more.
New in Aha! Whiteboards
This quarter, whiteboards became a stronger place to develop an idea visually before you commit to a direction.
- Visualize user journeys with AI: Ask Elle to create auser flow diagram from an epic or feature description so you can align on the intended experience before development begins.
- Turn visual ideas into prototypes: Convert a user flow, sketch, wireframe, or screenshot into aninteractive prototype with Elle — no written prompt required.
New in Aha! Builder
Aha! Builder took a big step forward, with more ways to start from work you already have and prepare an application for broader use.
- Move beyond a flaky spreadsheet: Upload an XLSX or XLSM file and have Elle transform its data, formulas, and macros intoan intuitive application . Tailor it with integrations, permissions, and more.
- Set up access for the right people:Configure authentication , manage users, anddefine specific user roles . You can also documentexceptions or accepted risks with built-in security and privacy reviews.
- See how the application behaves before rollout: Test workflows withvirtual users , apply yourdesign system , andconnect the application to more than 3,000 tools and services.
New in Aha! Knowledge
Longer product documents are easier to maintain and navigate in Aha! Knowledge.
- Manage product information more efficiently: Usefind and replace to quickly update repeated text across a document, takebulk actions on attachments, and navigate long notes and articles with asidebar table of contents .
Give yourself more time to discover what your customers need — and imagine what you could build to delight them.
That is what this quarter's updates are designed to support. With routine work handled by Elle, you have more time to listen to customers and explore promising ideas. We will keep building tools that help you turn those insights into products people love.
