Your enterprise AI footprint is about three times bigger than your model list

Snyk's State of Agentic AI Adoption report, based on an analysis of 3,044 enterprise environments and 1.39 million code repositories, found that organizations are building AI systems that combine models, agents, and external tools, with 46.9% of AI-using organizations having adopted agentic architectures built on AI agents, model context protocol (MCP) servers, or both. The report indicates that the enterprise AI footprint is about three times larger than the list of models, reflecting a shift from standalone AI to integrated systems.
