A Home Assistant integration providing local, cloud-free control of Wallbox Pulsar and Pulsar Plus EV chargers using the native BAPI protocol over Bluetooth Low Energy.
The Wallbox BLE (Local) integration enables local control of Wallbox Pulsar and Pulsar Plus EV chargers by communicating directly with the device via Bluetooth Low Energy (BLE) using the native "BAPI" protocol. This approach eliminates the need for cloud round-trips, MQTT brokers, or additional ESP32 hardware. The author reports that the integration supports auto-discovery, status and power monitoring, session tracking, schedule management, and device diagnostics. The project documentation notes that development was AI-assisted. Because Wallbox chargers support only one BLE connection at a time, the author recommends removing the charger from the phone's Bluetooth list to prevent the official app from contending for the link. The integration includes a resilient connection mechanism with event-driven drop detection and exponential back-off. Users are cautioned that behavior may vary across different firmware versions and models, and that the integration should be used at their own risk.
