Turn notifications into code with the GitHub app in Teams

GitHub launched a consolidated GitHub app for Microsoft Teams that combines issue notifications with Copilot, letting users @mention GitHub in a channel, group chat or private chat to have it investigate an issue, fix a bug and open a pull request for team review and merge. The app replaces the former GitHub notifications app, and existing notification capabilities continue to work after users update to the latest version. The legacy GitHub app is being renamed "GitHub (deprecated)" and will be retired on November 16, so users who rely on Copilot in Teams must install the consolidated app and connect their GitHub account and repository.
