Dispatch replaced the load board grid with a chat window: a driver typed what they wanted in plain language — dry van from Chicago to New York, at least $1.50 per mile, under 50 miles deadhead, picking up tomorrow — and software agents ran the search, placed the bids and booked the freight. The pitch was that an owner-operator shouldn't have to work a load board like a day trader to keep the truck moving; they should be able to say what they want and drive.
