Tencent said on November 5 that it had expanded inference capacity for its Hy4 model tenfold after heavy demand on WorkBuddy caused many users to reach their usage limits on the first day. The company also increased free usage allowances and said it would continue adjusting resources to meet demand.
According to materials provided by Tencent, Hy4 ranked second among Chinese models on Artificial Analysis’ intelligence index, behind Kimi K3.1 Pro. It also ranked 13th overall and first among open-weight models on Agent Arena. Tencent cited an Artificial Analysis benchmark cost of about $0.78 per task.
Tencent released Hy4 on November 4, adding visual understanding and expanding pre-training and post-training compared with its preview version. The company said the upgrade improved instruction following, long-context comprehension, and extended agent workflows. [TechNode reporting]
