Trinity Audioplayer ready...#### Beaming aboard Sunnyvale Beam, the city’s new on-demand rideshare service, is officially launching Sept. 1, 9-10 a.m., at the Sunnyvale City Hall North Plaza. Attendees can check out the new vehicles, hear remarks from city officials and enjoy special giveaways.
The service is designed to complement existing transit services and improve first- and last-mile connections to public transit and other key destinations.
Beam will operate daily with nine electric vehicles; three of them will be wheelchair accessible. The service area is anywhere within the Sunnyvale city limits and includes two locations outside the city: Homestead High School and Kaiser Permanente’s Santa Clara Medical Center.

Treehouse Hotel Silicon Valley is celebrating the end of summer with a lineup of events at the Sunnyvale hotel.
Four-legged friends are welcome at Paws on the Playground on Fridays, Aug. 28 and Sept. 25, 4-8 p.m. The pet-friendly afternoon features local vendors and treats on the pet patio at 1100 North Mathilda Ave.
