The only possible way to pace it is to ban open source, which can only be done with some regulatory framework that inevitably creates a duopoly or cartel that can then set prices however they like. I don't accuse you specifically of even wanting this but the playbook is well

I agree they will likely be banned (or try to). Also that there will be some related event - we've had widespread terrorism for a long time so of course they'll make use of it in some fashion. But I believe closed models will lead to the governments each eventually nationalizing
