MinIO is partnering Saudi Arabia's sovereign wealth fund to provide the data foundation for a sovereign Saudi AI Stack provided by HUMAIN, which is building an operating system for enterprise intelligence.
MinIO and HUMAIN assert that the future of AI will not be defined by individual models or isolated applications. It will be built with integrated platforms that unify infrastructure, compute, data, memory, models, agents, and intelligent applications into a single operating ecosystem. HUMAIN and MinIO aim to build that ecosystem with MinIO contributing the data foundation.

Amin is no mere Saudi figurehead, as his CV history includes time at T-Mobile and Huawei. He was Rakuten’s Group CTO from January 2021 onwards, and then Rakuten Symphony CEO in Japan, and then CEO of Aramco Digital in Saudi Arabia. He was appointed HUMAIN CEO in December 2024.
HUMAIN was officially launched in May last year by Saudi by Crown Prince Mohammed bin Salman. It is owned by Saudi’s sovereign wealth fund, the Public Investment Fund (PIF) with $900 billion in assets. Mohammed bin Salman chairs PIF. HUMAIN’s intent is to develop AI infrastructure, Arabic-language models, data centers, and related capabilities as part of Saudi Arabia’s AI and Vision 2030 strategy.
MinIO and HUMAIN are establishing a strategic engineering and go-to-market partnership with MinIO now HUMAIN's data and memory foundation partner.

MinIO and HUMAIN are co-developing HUMAIN Fabric, with MinIO leading the platform's architecture, design, and development. We are told HUMAIN Fabric is an AI-native data platform that enterprises and public-sector organizations can deploy to power enterprise and sovereign AI initiatives. It serves as the data and memory foundation of the HUMAIN AI Stack, underpinning products including HUMAIN ONE, HUMAIN Brain, HUMAIN Create, and future AI services.
The MinIO-HUMAIN partnership will begin with deployments in Saudi Arabia before expanding alongside HUMAIN's international growth strategy, supporting organizations that need secure, scalable, production-ready AI infrastructure.
HUMAIN has a huge list of partners for its AI ecosystem build-out, including AMD, AirTrunk, AWS, Cisco, Compal, Groq, Qualcom, Reflection AI, stc/center3, and Together.AI. It’s also just announced a new one with Silicon Valley based KORA Systems, which is developing an OS for intelligent PCs called KORA.
HUMAIN AI OS
HUMAIN and KORA Systems are partnering to develop an AI-native, Linux-based, operating system, HUMAIN OS, for enterprise computing. It will be designed to understand a user's objective, identifying context, select the appropriate AI and determination where the required workload must run. The joint development program covers the OS, Linux, integration, AI runtime, security, device management, user experience and application environments. The AI OS is being designed to process AI workloads across PCs, enterprise environments and cloud infrastructure, based on privacy, latency, connectivity, organizational cost and policies.
There will be an on-device AI layer optimized for Qualcomm computing platforms, with a a 26-billion-parameter AI model running locally on a Qualcomm NPU, enabling advanced AI capabilities directly on PCs, and ensuring search information and workings remain on the device. Amin said the companies are working to move AI beyond being another application on the desktop and making intelligence an integral part of the system.
HUMAIN OS is scheduled for commercial availability in 2027.
