Meta Platforms will launch its AI agent Hatch in the coming weeks and release a new AI model called Watermelon in October. That's according to internal documents seen by The Information.
Hatch is set to become a consumer version of the OpenClaw agent and is part of CEO Mark Zuckerberg's plan to make money off the company's heavy AI spending and grow revenue beyond advertising. According to the report, Meta is weighing a tiered pricing model, including a premium subscription that runs up to $199.99 a month.
Hatch is designed to tap into sites like DoorDash, Etsy, Reddit, Yelp, and Outlook, and to offer a customizable dashboard with features like a fitness tracker or trip planner. Whether Watermelon becomes part of the Muse model family or ships as a standalone model is still unclear.
Meta is also building a platform on WhatsApp that will let users plug in more AI agents.
