Lovable raised $400 million in a Series C round at a $13.3 billion valuation, giving the Stockholm-based AI software startup another major capital injection as investor demand for vibe-coding platforms continues to build.
According to Lovable’s Aug. 12 announcement, Menlo Ventures led the round, with EQT’s Scaleup Europe Fund serving as co-lead. New investors included Balderton Capital, Carmignac, Kaszek Ventures, LTS Growth, Tencent, World Innovation Lab and Regent, while Accel, CapitalG, DST Global, HubSpot Ventures and Salesforce Ventures were among returning backers.
Valuation more than doubles in eight months
The latest financing roughly doubles Lovable’s valuation from $6.6 billion in December 2025, when it raised $330 million in a Series B led by CapitalG and Menlo Ventures’ Anthology fund.
Lovable launched in November 2024 and says users have since created more than 60 million projects, while apps built on the platform now receive over 900 million visits per month. The company also said its product has reached employees at nearly two-thirds of Fortune 500 companies.
Fresh capital targets product and infrastructure
Lovable said the funding will be directed toward expanding its product, infrastructure and workforce, with a particular focus on machine learning, security, reliability and deeper integrations with business software.
The company plans to grow to roughly 450 employees this year, retaining Stockholm as its main base while expanding teams in London, Boston, San Francisco and New York.
Vibe coding draws institutional backing
Vibe coding, broadly referring to building software by describing functions in natural language while AI generates much of the underlying code, has quickly attracted serious venture and strategic capital.
The trend was already visible in June 2025, when Wix acquired prompt-to-app startup Base44 for about $80 million upfront, with additional performance-based payments. Investment accelerated from there.
Replit raised $400 million at a $9 billion valuation in March 2026, backed by investors including Coatue, Andreessen Horowitz, Qatar Investment Authority and strategic investors such as Accenture Ventures and Databricks Ventures.
In July, rival Emergent raised $130 million at a $1.5 billion valuation, drawing backing from Khosla Ventures, SoftBank Vision Fund 2, Lightspeed and Y Combinator.
The broader AI-coding market has attracted even larger checks, with Cursor raising $2.3 billion at a $29.3 billion valuation in late 2025 as Google and Nvidia joined its investor base.
Taken together, Lovable’s $13.3 billion valuation reinforces a broader shift: investors are increasingly treating AI-driven software creation as a major commercial category rather than a niche developer tool.
