Production database with no backups or proper security setup on it to stop commands that would delete records. That is the main issue. I have had interns blow away databases too. This is not just an AI issue. It’s doing development on production systems with zero safeguards.
I do use Hermes for some cool stuff. Last week I needed to split up one long compilation video of 100 commercials, and put each commercial into it’s own file file and name them based on content. I setup a sandbox docker for Hermes to use, put the video file in there along with ffmpeg, I told Hermes to split up the file and it did it. It did take a bit of review and babysitting by me, and Hermes took around 3 hours to figure it out on a local LLM, but it did it. My total time spent was about 5 minutes. If I had done the same thing with a video editor, it would have taken me most of the day.
