Lightning AI, the PyTorch-tooling company that merged with GPU cloud provider Voltage Park in January 2026 to form a roughly $2.5 billion, debt-free AI cloud, named Peter Bershatsky Vice President of Strategy and Business Development, per a GlobeNewswire release. Bershatsky will lead partnership strategy across hyperscalers, systems integrators, and independent software vendors. He joined AWS in 2013 during its growth from about $3 billion to more than $35 billion in revenue, and most recently was VP of Corporate Business Development at Confluent, where he helped lead the Immerok and Warpstream acquisitions. This is a go-to-market hire, not a technical or product change: it signals Lightning AI is investing in partner-led enterprise sales following the Voltage Park merger, which combined Lightning's PyTorch platform (400 million downloads, 240,000 developers) with Voltage Park's roughly 35,000-36,000 NVIDIA GPUs across six U.S. data centers, making the combined company the third-largest neocloud by GPU count behind CoreWeave and Nebius.
