Samsung is steadily preparing its next major software refresh, and after recent leaks gave us our first glimpse of One UI 9.5 on a Galaxy phone alongside an early look at the dedicated native App Lock functionality, a fresh leak is now shedding light on subtle interface tweaks and smarter system utilities heading to the Galaxy S26 series.
According to screenshots shared by Fahad Ali Javed on X, One UI 9.5 brings noticeable design polish centered around visual depth.
Samsung appears to be implementing subtle backdrop shading across home screen widgets, the bottom navigation bar, and the top header action buttons. Rather than sticking to flat layers, the subtle drop shadows and frosted elements provide visual separation between actionable controls and underlying content, giving the UI a cleaner, layered aesthetic.
The leak also reveals a revamped Dialer interface with integrated system-level search, said to be powered by Samsung AI, allowing the new in-dialer search to function similarly to the system-wide Finder tool. This will seemingly allow users to query contextual information, contacts, recent interactions, and related actions directly from the numeric keypad screen without jumping between separate menus.
Samsung has yet to share anything about One UI 9.5, and it won’t for a while, since One UI 9 just came out and hasn’t propagated across Samsung’s lineup yet. While these changes are much appreciated, there’s plenty that can change before we see a stable, or even beta, release of One UI 9.5.
