AI is reshaping the construction lifecycle. At Ai4 20226, AEC leaders shared how firms are applying AI across design, logistics, safety, and operations, while tackling data standards, culture change, and scaling.
AI is moving deeper into the construction lifecycle, from design and planning through site operations and building performance.
At the Ai4 2026 conference, held August 4-6 in Las Vegas, Amit Sinha (TRC Companies), Jeff Miller (Clayco), Patrick Murphy (Coastal Construction), and Shane Snider (Data Center Knowledge) discussed how construction firms are putting AI to work on major projects.
The panel highlighted applications such as design optimization, material shortage forecasting, on-site incident prevention, and operational efficiency gains, while also addressing the industry’s toughest hurdles: data standardization, cultural resistance, and scaling AI adoption in a risk-averse environment.
