Heidi Health is expanding its AI medical scribe into supervised agents that can draft follow-up documents and work across the software clinics already use, shifting the product from recording visits toward handling some of the administrative work they create. The company calls the release Heidi II and says its rollout starts September 29th in English and French; the capabilities will not be available in the UK or EU.

Kelly, a vascular surgeon before founding Heidi, described spending time on forms, billing and referrals instead of patient care. In 2023, he told TechCrunch that one outpatient clinic had 60 to 70 patients competing for 30 appointment slots. Heidi began as a Melbourne-based effort to reduce that administrative load with AI-generated notes. Its new bet is that writing the note is only the first step: the product should also help complete the work left behind.
Heidi II brings together a new Home workspace, task-running agents, computer use, clinician-specific Memory and citation-backed clinical research. In the workflow Heidi describes, a doctor can ask the system to review the day's visits for unfinished commitments, draft referral letters and reminders, then save the task sequence as a recurring Routine. The doctor reviews the work before completing it. Heidi says agents can operate across portals and other systems through controlled keyboard-and-mouse use, extending the product into workflows where clinics may not have a direct software integration.
The company also describes a clinical research use case: Heidi surfaces evidence and calculates a RegiSCAR score for a possible drug reaction, while the clinician evaluates the result and makes the treatment decision. That example is a company-described scenario, not an independently verified clinical outcome. Heidi's stated boundary is that the system prepares and carries out routine work under configured approval controls, while clinical judgment remains with the clinician.
The launch follows Heidi's announcement on September 22nd of a $100 million Series C led by Blackbird, with participation from Phoenix Court, Point72 Private Investments and Headline. Heidi also disclosed a separate $240 million growth investment led by General Catalyst's Customer Value Fund, bringing the announced financing package to $340 million. The company said the equity round valued it at $900 million. That capital gives Heidi room to invest in the more demanding task of connecting to clinical systems and serving larger health organizations, where adoption depends on operational controls as much as note quality.
Heidi says its platform supports 2.8 million patient visits each week and surfaces about 10 million follow-up tasks. Those are company-reported figures, and the launch materials do not specify how many clinics or users will have access to Heidi II at the start of the rollout. The distinction is important for a product whose value depends on completing tasks safely across a practice's actual systems, rather than simply identifying work that still needs doing.
Heidi's current pricing information lists free and paid plans, with team and enterprise pricing available through sales; it does not provide a separate price for Heidi II in the launch announcement. The company says its existing product includes free transcription and notes, while paid plans add advanced features and integrations. Whether practices can use the new agents on their existing plans, and how usage will be priced at scale, will shape whether Heidi II becomes a routine part of clinical administration or remains an additional tool clinicians must supervise.
