Google is preparing to bring the screen-free Fitbit Air fitness tracker to India, but the device may already be turning up at select retail outlets ahead of its official debut. Images circulating online appear to show the tracker in several colour options, while one retailer is reportedly selling it at a price slightly above its international cost. Google has confirmed that the Fitbit Air will launch in India in October, although the company has yet to announce the exact launch date or India pricing.
Fitbit Air Spotted in Multiple Colours #
The Fitbit Air has reportedly been spotted at an Indian retail outlet ahead of its official launch. Images shared by an X user show the screenless fitness tracker in black, blue and red shades, which could correspond to the Obsidian, Lavender and Cherry variants sold in other markets. The Fog colour option, however, was not visible in the shared images.
Retail Price Could Be Higher Than Global Pricing #
The same post claims that one retailer is selling the Fitbit Air for around Rs 16,000 in India. This would put it considerably above its US starting price of $99.99, equivalent to roughly Rs 9,400. Google also offers a Fitbit Air Special Edition created with basketball star Stephen Curry, which carries a higher $129.99 price tag, or around Rs 12,300.

Google Has Confirmed an October India Launch #
Google has already announced that the Fitbit Air will officially arrive in India in October 2026, although the company has not revealed the exact launch date or India pricing yet. The tracker was previously showcased during Google's Made by Google India briefing, where its upcoming availability in the country was confirmed. Until Google announces the official price, the reported Rs 16,000 retail figure should therefore be treated as unconfirmed.
Fitbit Air Focuses on Screen-Free Health Tracking #
The Fitbit Air uses a compact pebble-shaped design without a display, allowing users to track their activity and health without constant notifications or screen interactions. Its health features include continuous heart-rate tracking, AFib alerts, blood oxygen monitoring, resting heart rate, heart rate variability and sleep tracking. The wearable can also automatically detect workouts, while users can manually record activities or access guided sessions through Google Health Coach. Google claims the Fitbit Air can run for up to a week on a single charge.
