Elon Musk said on Wednesday that he plans to create a feature-length version of Homer’s "The Odyssey" that is "historically accurate" and faithful to the author’s intentions.
The 55-year-old reposted a three-minute scene from the mythological poem on X that a user said was created by X’s Grok Imagine.
"Before this year ends, Grok Imagine will make a full-length movie of The Odyssey that is historically accurate and true to the art of Homer," the billionaire owner of X posted.

His comments come as controversy continues to swirl for some over the casting of Christopher Nolan’s epic film version of the classical work, which premiered last weekend, particularly the casting of Lupita Nyong’o as Helen of Troy.
Musk has been bashing "The Odyssey" since February, when he reposted a user who claimed casting Nyong’o would be an "insult" to Homer since she was described in the poem as a "fair skinned, blonde, and ‘the face that launched a thousand ships’ because she was so beautiful that men started a war over her."

"Chris Nolan has lost his integrity," Musk responded at the time.
He also responded with "True" after reposting conservative commentator Matt Walsh saying, "Not one person on the planet actually thinks that Lupita Nyong’o is ‘the most beautiful woman in the world.’ But Christopher Nolan knows that he would be called racist if he gave ‘the most beautiful woman’ role to a white woman."
Musk also claimed in May that Nolan’s film has a diverse cast because he "wants the awards."

Fox News Digital has reached out to reps for Nolan for comment.
"The Odyssey" gave Nolan, who also directed blockbusters like "The Dark Knight" trilogy and "Oppenheimer, the best global weekend debut of his career — more than $264 million — after it opened last Friday.
