Thredd, an AI-first issuer processing platform, has been selected by Cashi to power its new stablecoin spending and cashback card programme. The service is now live in Hong Kong, with an expansion into Mexico planned for late 2026.
Cashi is a stablecoin spending app focused on everyday payments. Its users can hold and send digital assets through the app and use a Cashi card to pay for groceries, subscriptions, online shopping, travel and other regular expenses. The card also includes a cashback programme.
The Hong Kong launch currently offers virtual Visa cards and support for Google Pay. The company plans to add physical cards in Mexico, while also introducing Apple Pay support. The rollout is expected to serve as a base for expanding the stablecoin card programme into other markets.
