Witch Time is a static recompilation of Bayonetta 3 for PC that translates AArch64 code to C and runs on a re-implemented system layer. It supports 60 fps gameplay, custom resolutions, and keyboard/mouse input.
Witch Time is an unofficial static recompilation of Bayonetta 3 for the Nintendo Switch, designed to run natively on PC. The project follows the architecture of B2recomp, where the game's AArch64 code is translated to C on the user's machine using their own game dump. It operates on a re-implemented system layer that handles threads, file systems, input, audio, and NVN on Vulkan. The project does not include game code, assets, or keys. According to the documentation, the game boots and plays at 60 fps in Tokyo and Shibuya, though occasional short hitches occur. Input support includes controllers and keyboard/mouse combinations. The build process involves several steps, including deps, verify, convert, mods, tables, lift, compile, link, text, and check. The verify step is restricted to the specific build named in the project's setup source code. Claude Opus 5.5 is credited as a co-author on multiple commits, including those related to shader preparation, vertex variant compilation, and UI adjustments. The project documentation is available at https://raw.githubusercontent.com/zexyen/witch-time/HEAD/README.md.
Reproduce it #
