Baidu’s smart-device business Xiaodu will unveil new hardware at a product event on Sept. 8 at 2 p.m. Beijing time. The lineup includes smart displays, Tiantian companion screens, smart speakers and cameras featuring the company’s upgraded Chaoneng Xiaodu AI assistant.
The invitation also lists a second-generation AI monitoring agent for Xiaodu’s cameras. The launch follows the introduction of Chaoneng Xiaodu last November, when the company announced a free upgrade for tens of millions of existing devices across its ecosystem. [IT Home, in Chinese]
