Apple's fall 2026 smart home lineup, powered by a revamped Siri AI, shows the company doubling down on hardware while digital assets remain conspicuously absent from Cupertino's roadmap.
Apple just showed its hand at WWDC26, and it’s holding a full house of smart home hardware. The company unveiled Siri AI on June 8, a ground-up rethinking of its voice assistant with improved conversational abilities, personal context awareness, and onscreen comprehension, all designed to serve as the brain for a new generation of home devices.
The lineup includes a Home Hub with a 7-inch display and facial recognition, an upgraded Apple TV 4K, and refreshed HomePod models, all expected to ship in fall 2026. The Home Hub is rumored to carry a price tag of around $350.

Apple’s entire WWDC26 keynote contained zero mentions of cryptocurrency, blockchain, or any related technology. Apple’s App Store policies have historically been hostile to crypto wallets and NFT marketplaces, taking 30% commissions on in-app digital asset purchases.
The Siri AI play, and what it actually does #
The revamped Siri AI enters developer testing immediately following its WWDC26 debut, with a broader user beta planned for later in 2026. Apple is positioning the assistant as the connective tissue between all its smart home products, capable of understanding conversational context, remembering personal preferences across sessions, and managing multi-step home automation tasks.
Apple is also completing its migration from the older HomeKit architecture to the Matter standard, an interoperability protocol designed to let smart home devices from different manufacturers talk to each other. Support for the original HomeKit system ended on February 10, 2026.
The iOS 27 update will bring HomeKit Secure Video upgrades including 4K recording and AI-driven video summaries.
