Apple today confirmed that macOS 27 Golden Gate will launch on September 14, alongside iOS 27, iPadOS 27, and its other operating systems. Here’s the full list of compatible Macs.

As soon as Apple wrapped up its “Surprise and Shine” event today, the company updated its macOS 27 Golden Gate site to confirm that the system will launch on September 14, alongside the other systems it announced during WWDC26.
macOS 27 Golden Gate introduces the new Siri app alongside Apple’s revamped Siri AI, as well as an AI-powered Shortcuts app that can create shortcuts from natural-language prompts. Other new features include an AI-powered extension builder and support for pull-to-refresh in Safari, iPhone mirroring improvements, and video support in Apple Podcasts.
The update additionally includes new Golden Gate-themed wallpapers and screensavers, while restoring fixed-radius corners for windows and apps after macOS 26 introduced dynamically changing corner radii.

- MacBook Neo (2026)
- MacBook Air with Apple silicon (2020 and later)
- MacBook Pro with Apple silicon (2020 and later)
- iMac with Apple silicon (2021 and later)
- Mac mini with Apple silicon (2020 and later)
- Mac Studio (2022 and later)
- Mac Pro with Apple silicon (2023)
It is worth noting that some of the most advanced new Siri AI features will only be available on Macs with M3 and later, with 12GB or more in memory.
