Amazon Quick, Amazon’s AI assistant, is generally available as a desktop app for macOS and Windows starting today.
Amazon is making its Quick AI platform generally available for desktop on Windows and macOS. Quick was previously available as a preview, but the application is now being rolled out broadly. Simultaneously, a new activity feed is being added to the mobile experience on iOS and Android, bringing together email, calendar, CRM, and messaging in a single overview.
The introduction of Amazon Quick on desktop means that companies now have access to an enterprise AI assistant that runs entirely on AWS infrastructure. In October 2025, AWS also launched Quick Suite, a collection of AI-driven applications divided into modules (including Quick Sight and Quick Research).
Executing tasks autonomously #
Amazon Quick processes natural language queries and, according to the company, delivers well-founded answers within seconds. During the preview, the solution was already deployed at organizations in manufacturing, healthcare, and sports. The system is designed to ensure governance and accuracy, keeping all data and conversations within the organization’s own environment.
A key advantage is that Quick not only answers questions but also executes tasks autonomously. For instance, users can have reports compiled, prepare for appointments, or perform follow-ups without switching applications. All of this is done while maintaining control over data and processes, which is essential for enterprises with strict security requirements.
Integrated workplace #
Quick’s activity feed centralizes notifications from various sources and automatically filters out noise. Only priority items requiring human action remain. Furthermore, Quick learns from user behavior, ensuring that relevant information becomes increasingly prominent. According to users, this saves time and increases focus on high-value tasks.
