Streaming platforms face an exponential deluge of AI-generated music. Deezer reports fully AI-generated uploads rising to roughly 75,000 per day by April 2026, representing 44% of all new music on the platform. Record labels are filing lawsuits against AI platforms while also negotiating licensing deals with the same companies. The contradiction is structural: labels need AI revenue streams even as they defend human creators in court. Projections of major revenue losses by 2028 make both impulses urgent.
