As always, if you’re short on time, these are the main things you need to know, but I’ll break down this TV’s key components and features later in the article. First off, this is a QLED TV, so it’s on the ‘entry-level’ when it comes to picture quality. That being said, this display still boasts solid color and brightness, and has 48 individual zones for decent contrast, too. Is it going to be mini-LED level? No, but it’s way more affordable, which is a win. On the HDR front, it’s quite extensive, too, as it supports Dolby Vision IQ, HDR10+, HDR10, and HLG. That’s great for watching movies, live broadcasts, and content with enhanced, more lifelike picture quality. One big thing to note is that this is a 60Hz TV, not 120Hz, so it can support 4K at up to 60fps. That’s good for more casual console gaming, and should still keep on-screen motion looking pretty smooth.

Not too big and not too small, at 50 inches, this TV is great for most living spaces, and a good size for bedrooms, too. 50 inches is surprisingly large and immersive, depending on how close you sit to it, so that’s worth keeping in mind.
Comprehensive HDR offering
Very low-end TVs and monitors can sometimes only support HDR 10, which basically means that they can display a fixed picture setting throughout a movie, for example. This TV supports much higher-end versions of HDR, which allow it to change picture settings frame-by-frame, depending on the content. This gives a much more nuanced viewing experience, which is much closer to what you see at those movie theatres.
Alexa control is super user-friendly
This TV has built-in mics, giving you voice control and a hands-free experience, and it also features a switch that disconnects these mics for privacy protection.
Fire TV ambient experience is a great touch
This TV can display photos, artwork, and more when idle, which is great as it turns your TV into something far more visually interesting than a looming, ominous black rectangle. It’s not like Samsung’s The Frame, but for the price, it’s a very welcome feature.

Who should buy this Amazon Omni Series TV?
This is basically a budget-friendly option, but one that focuses on delivering the goods where they matter most. You’ve got colorful, bright picture quality with decent contrast, a user-friendly interface with voice control, some unique ambient features, and wide HDR compatibility to showcase content at its best. For the price, it’s hard to go wrong here, and I’d say that this is a good, affordable pick as a main display, and one that would be ideal for a guest room, bedroom, or office, too.
