EliteTable, a fixed-capacity table of high-scoring solutions that guides an LLM to generate, edit and remix executable control policies, reached the search-score ceiling in the first generation across…
A systematic study of Kolmogorov-Arnold Networks (KANs) found that the architecture can match Multi-Layer-Perceptron performance in reinforcement learning with 40% fewer samples, with relative perform…
Researchers released OpenHail, an open-source Gymnasium environment for joint control of electric ride-hailing fleets, with source code available at github.com/tommaso-schettini/openhail. OpenHail exp…
A developer's attempt to train a reinforcement-learning agent to complete the 1983 ZX Spectrum game Manic Miner failed, first with PPO over joystick inputs and then with move macros, according to a fi…
A developer released an open-source project that evaluates TypeSafe's Jev model, version jev-1.13.0, as a policy in Gymnasium and Atari environments, converting game observations into structured JSON …
Researchers introduced SINKFLEX-RL, a modular training system for reinforcement learning in long-horizon tool-use agentic tasks, which integrates a Gymnasium-compatible environment wrapper, VERL-style…
An independent researcher demonstrated that timing side channels in multi-agent reinforcement learning (MARL) policies deployed on microcontrollers can leak information about an agent's next action. B…
Bespoke Labs is hiring a contract researcher to design and evaluate reinforcement learning environments and benchmarks for long-horizon agentic tasks, which require hours, days, or weeks of coherent m…
A reinforcement-learning environment for sheep herding, based on the browser game Shepherd's Dog, has been released as an open-source Python package. The environment, created by developer Midhun Harik…
Researchers introduced a new metric, Composite Reward Observability Fraction (CROF), that improves AI model checkpoint selection in simulated environments like LunarLander. CROF combines Reward Observ…
