# Zhipu open-sources ZCode after data dispute and plans no-retention controls for MaaS

Zhipu has open-sourced the code behind ZCode on GitHub after apologizing over a data-handling dispute and completing a remediation process, IT Home reported. The repository describes ZCode as an AI coding workbench with desktop, browser and terminal-agent components.

Zhipu also said its MaaS platform will soon introduce a feature that allows users to apply for non-retention of data content. For standard model calls, the company says inputs and outputs will not be statically stored and will only be used for the current request.
