Prime Day is coming — don’t miss the deals

HoYoverse’s popular hack-and-slash ARPG Zenless Zone Zero will be available on Steam today, June 16, nearly two years after the game was first released on Epic Games Store and HoYoPlay. The Steam launch arrives just in time for ZZZ Season 3 (also known as version 3.0), bringing new content for fans to enjoy such as the sky city of Roscaelifer and a new playable character.
Season 3 will arrive today at 11 PM Eastern Time – which means most of the will get the update beyond midnight, on June 17. Either way, Zenless Zone Zero version 3.0 also includes a visual overhaul in the form of Nvidia’s DLSS and Ray Tracing technologies, which Nvidia recently showed off in a comparison video. Frame Generation is also supported.

Nvidia’s shiny ray tracing overhaul helps bring real-time lighting and reflections to ZZZ. It may not be a title you’d immediately associate with a need for ray-traced visuals, given its stylized anime look, but it looks like the devs are making full use of it in the new playable area, Roscaelifer. The comparison video below showcases plenty of wet surfaces that work nicely with ray tracing.

On the PC, Version 3.0 also sees the introduction of ray-traced reflections, ambient occlusion and global illumination lighting, accelerated and enhanced by DLSS Super Resolution and Frame Generation, with support for Multi Frame Generation promised for a future update.

In version 3.0, Nvidia says ZZZ players will have access to DLSS Super Resoluton (upscaling) and DLSS Frame Generation features, which implies standard 2x frame gen. Multi Frame Generation is “planned for a future update” – there’s currently no word on when exactly this will happen.
A side effect of it launching to Steam means an easier time for Steam Deck owners, though we already learned from the devs earlier this year that Steam Deck optimization is not a priority right now. The addition of DLSS offers no extra help natively, given the fact that Valve’s popular handheld runs on AMD hardware.

300Would you buy a bare bones Steam Machine?Would you buy a variant of the Steam Machine with no RAM and/or no SSD and install them separately to help save on costs? No, I want the Steam Machine to be complete Yes, I would buy a RAM-less version Yes, I would buy an SSD-less version I'd buy a bare bones version with neither component
