Zed: Edit predictions are leaving the free Personal plan on October 7

Just got an email saying this:

On October 7, 2026, edit predictions will no longer be included with Zed’s free Personal plan. They will remain available on the Pro, Student, and Business plans.

Edit predictions require ongoing inference infrastructure, so we’re moving them to plans that support those costs.

You’re receiving this email because you’ve recently used edit predictions on the Personal plan. If you want to continue using predictions after October 7, you can:

Upgrade to Pro

Self-host Zeta 2.1 (see our docs) Use one of the third-party providers we support

Otherwise, no action is required.
