# YouTube adds AI tools to Creator Studio with script coaching, smart thumbnails, and Gemini editing

**YouTube is rolling out new AI tools for creators.** A storytelling assistant in [YouTube Studio](https://blog.youtube/topic-hub/youtube-studio/) analyzes scripts and rough cuts, checks what's worked on a channel, and suggests changes to pacing, structure, and storytelling. Creators can A/B-test up to three edited versions at once and pull underperformers. Dynamic thumbnails automatically show each audience the best-fitting option from three preview images.

Gemini is joining Shorts and the YouTube Create app as a chat-based editing assistant. The AI has been live since August 2026, but YouTube is now building it into a full editing tool that rearranges frames, trims clips, and syncs music. According to YouTube's [GenAI trend report](https://www.youtube.com/trends/report/tr26-genai-trends-report/), 72 percent of US creators between 14 and 44 already use AI when creating or editing content.

For livestreamers, YouTube is launching AI-powered [live translation](https://blog.youtube/news-and-events/made-on-youtube-live-tools-fan-funding-dubbing/) from English to Spanish as a first step toward broader language support. The company is also testing AI comment moderation that learns a channel's tone and expanding its [face detection](https://support.google.com/youtube/answer/16440338?hl=en) to include voice recognition for deepfake protection.
