This is a bit of an interesting conundrum -- US Copyright office states I cannot copyright my book because some of it was AI written. Unfortunately I did not save the initial Claude Code generated portions of the book (my estimate of 50% survived my edits). So while I could amend the copyright statement, it does not mean much -- who knows if it was AI or me at this point. Does this mean an effective end to copyright for writing if the majority of material is actually produce in conjunction with AI?
