Xiaomi unveils a new “mid-fold” form factor with the 18 Fold

Xiaomi has shown the full exterior design of its upcoming Xiaomi 18 Fold and introduced it as a new “mid-fold” form factor. The phone has a 5.38-inch outer display and a 7.58-inch inner display, with a horizontal rear camera module.

The design is intended to sit between traditional large foldables and smaller flip-style devices. Xiaomi 18 Fold is scheduled to launch on September 7 with the company’s Xring O3 processor, HyperOS 4 and an on-device MiMo AI model. [Jiemian, in Chinese]
