What happens when autonomous AI takes on the same tasks as the world’s top young AI talents?
15 AI systems. 6 expert-designed challenges. Human ingenuity, autonomous AI execution. Greater possibilities for all.
At the 2026 International Olympiad in AI, fourteen research organizations brought their systems to compete in IOAI²: AI ModelsTrack – a first-of-its-kind Olympiad competition for fully autonomous AI systems.
Each system faced the same six challenging tasks as gifted high-school students from 100+ countries and territories. In two hours, each system had to navigate unfamiliar data, manage GPUs, run experiments, write code, submit, and race to improve their solutions…all without human guidance.
