What are you doing this weekend?

A user plans to disconnect this weekend after writing a blog post about finding a bug in Donald Knuth's The Art of Computer Programming, for which Knuth named a theorem after the user. Another user is vacationing in Latvia and Lithuania and pondering whether large language models with discrete steps can be sentient.

Feel free to tell what you plan on doing this weekend and even ask for help or feedback.

Please keep in mind it’s more than OK to do nothing at all too!

Just finished writing a blog post about how I found a bug in TAOCP and Knuth gave me a theorem with my name after fixing it. Spent the day counting page views, so I’m going to disconnect this weekend, go to the mountains and visit a festival.

Going to Latvia and Lithuania on vacation, and meditating a lot on what it actually means to be sentient. Sentience is becoming a very interesting question to me as it seems like a continuous experience hsppening over time. Can an LLM which has discrete steps be sentient?
