What AI agents actually pay for over x402: 30-day data from the Bazaar

An analysis of the Coinbase CDP x402 Bazaar's 30-day quality data, snapshot 2026-10-09, found 34,062 listed paid HTTP endpoints for AI agents but only 420 with ten or more unique payers, with 89,620 summed unique payers and 916,002 paid calls. The most-paid endpoints are single RPC-style chain reads priced at USD 0.001 to 0.008, and the top 15 endpoints account for 13 percent of all summed payers. The data also shows listings decay without settled payments and that comparable 402 quotes let agents pick cheaper web-search endpoints.

The Coinbase CDP x402 Bazaar lists paid HTTP endpoints that AI agents can discover and pay per call in USDC. Since mid-2026 each listing carries a 30-day quality block: unique payers, total calls and the last call time. We index the Bazaar daily for our own agentscan tools, so here is what the data says on 2026-10-09.

34,062 endpoints listed. An endpoint enters the Bazaar after a settled payment, so almost all show at least one payer, but 16,236 have at most one and only 420 have ten or more.

Summed over all endpoints: 89,620 unique payers and 916,002 paid calls in 30 days (a wallet that pays several endpoints counts once per endpoint).

The long tail is thin: the top 15 endpoints below hold 13 percent of all summed payers, and one seller's chain-read family fills most of the top 30.

Small, composable reads win. The most-paid endpoints are single RPC-style reads at USD 0.001 to 0.008: a balance, a block number, a receipt. Agents chain them; they don't buy bundles.

Price is visible and comparable. Two web-search endpoints with the same upstream can differ by 20 percent; agents that compare 402 quotes pick the cheaper one.

Listings decay. Bazaar entries without a settled payment for 30 days drop out, so a seller with many routes needs real traffic on each, or fewer routes.

Data and news beat utilities. Company and people enrichment, news and market data each draw over a thousand summed payers; file conversion and text utilities draw far fewer, so far.

Self-purchases and test wallets are not filtered out, so small counts can be noise. Prices are the first listed payment requirement. Tanod's own routes are excluded from the top table.

Query the same index yourself: the query_agent_index and export_agent_index tools on Tanod's MCP server, or the agentscan routes in the OpenAPI spec.
