At GitHub Universe, Microsoft CEO Satya Nadella announced GitHub Copilot Fusion, which he said delivers frontier-level quality 40% faster and at up to 77% lower cost. GitHub also brought its unified Copilot harness into Foundry, a managed service for building long-running agents that reason, use tools and complete work, and introduced Copilot Projects, an orchestration loop for building with multiple agents across repositories. GitHub said it is expanding capacity and strengthening its architecture to support agentic development.
