WeChat is testing an “AI social” feature that lets two assistants talk first

WeChat is testing a feature called "Xiaowei AI Social" in a limited rollout, allowing a user's Xiaowei assistant to contact a friend's Xiaowei assistant and handle an initial conversation. Possible tasks include arranging a meal, coordinating schedules and checking preliminary interest. The feature is designed to let the two AI assistants exchange information first, with users stepping in only for authorization and key decisions. It remains an internal test, and the final release scope and availability have not been announced.
