Virtual Cards for AI Agents: Spend Limits and Merchant Controls

Stripe Issuing, Airwallex, and Ramp offer virtual cards with spend limits and merchant category restrictions, but their card-level controls do not identify which AI agent initiated a purchase, whose authority it used, or which task justified the payment, according to a comparison published by Skyfire. Among the compared platforms, only Skyfire binds payment authority to the agent and task, the company said.
