Elderwood Realms was created by developer Rohan Varma after asking GPT-6 Astra in Codex to “build RuneScape,” eventually growing into a multiplayer game with familiar locations, skilling, and combat. However, just days after thousands of players started joining, the website has since been taken offline. ## Elderwood creator says it was a “joy to build” Visitors to Elderwood’s website are now greeted with a message titled “Thank you for the adventure,” confirming the game has closed. “We received a notice from Jagex asking us to take down the website,” the statement continued. “Following that notice, we are discontinuing Elderwood’s operation, and the game is no longer available.” The takedown comes just days after Elderwood exploded in popularity.
