Video compressor

Simon Willison released a free web-based video compressor that runs FFMPEG entirely in the browser via WebAssembly, built with Claude Fable 5.1 in Claude Code for web. The tool, available at tools.simonwillison.net/video-compressor, lets users optimize videos without uploading files to a server, and was created to publish a compressed version of a demo video for his Equal Earth animation.
