Viavi has debuted what it claims to be the industry’s smallest and lightest all-in-one platform for enterprise-scale AI inference and training up to 100 gigabits per second (100 Gb/s, G).
The CyberFlood CF50 comes in a one rack-unit (1RU) form factor and is designed to generate realistic traffic spanning traffic to application layers to help engineers assess performance and scalability prior to deployment. The CF50 can also be used to assess a setup for security, with mixed traffic encrypted to validate realistic performance conditions.
The network validation platform features a web interface that Viavi bills as “easy-to-use” to make it simple for engineers testing smaller-scale deployments. Automated goal-seeking and repeatable traffic-mix testing come packaged, with no need for a Microsoft Windows client in order to run. More broadly, Viavi claims the CF50 offers market-beating power consumption and native post-quantum cryptography support.
Sashi Jeyaretnam, Viavi’s senior director for security product management, said: “The CyberFlood CF50 combines realistic application traffic, security validation and AI inference testing in a highly portable platform, enabling customers to validate infrastructure at scale, accelerate deployment decisions and improve confidence in production readiness. It provides a practical way for organizations to validate performance before complex AI-enabled and security-driven services go live.”
Where the CF50 targets smaller-scale deployments, the recently announced CyberFlood CF1000 focuses on large-scale enterprises. Billed as a 400G testing platform, it also targets AI inference traffic testing through a 2RU form factor.
