CEO Hitesh Sheth said the advantage is applying AI to understand attacker behavior, not just using AI.", "body_md": "### Vectra AI launches Vectra AI Pro to feed AI agents better attack signals\n\nThreat detection company [Vectra AI Inc.](https://www.vectra.ai/) today launched Vectra AI Pro, a product built to give the artificial intelligence agents now working inside security operations centers a more reliable read on attacker behavior.\n\nSecurity teams have spent the past year bolting AI into their workflows to keep pace with attacks running at machine speed. Agents are only as useful as the data they reason over. Most tooling hands them telemetry one domain at a time. Vectra AI Pro instead correlates network, identity and cloud signals into a single account of what an attacker is doing, then passes that to the agents. Also folded in is telemetry from software-as-a-service applications, endpoint detection and response tools and secure access service edge infrastructure.\n\nVectra calls the bundle trusted signal intelligence. Behavioral detection covers the attack lifecycle, watching for reconnaissance, credential abuse and lateral movement. Data on its way out of the network is tracked the same way. Attribution comes next, tying activity back to a user, a workload or an AI agent, and the company says the net extends to unmanaged systems a security team may never have inventoried. A third layer ranks which entities and attack paths matter most. Exposure validation lets an agent show that a path was closed or an active attack stopped.\n\nCustomers can take it up three ways. Teams building their own agentic security operations center can wire Vectra AI Pro into custom agents and copilots through REST application programming interfaces, a Model Context Protocol server and prepackaged AI skills for indicator enrichment, PCAP retrieval, forensic investigation, hunting and reporting. Teams that would rather not build get Vectra’s own agents, which triage and prioritize detections and write natural-language case summaries explaining why an entity was flagged. The third option is consulting help from Vectra staff to fold the signals into tools a customer already runs.\n\nVectra frames the launch around what it calls a post-Mythos world, a nod to the Anthropic PBC model that has driven much of [this year’s argument](https://siliconangle.com/2026/04/20/mythos-remains-mystery-security-world-faces-rising-threats-agentic-attacks-concerns-ai-integrity/) over AI-enabled attacks.\n\n“Everyone has AI today. Vectra AI’s advantage isn’t that it uses AI. It’s that it applies AI to understand attacker behavior,” said Hitesh Sheth, president and chief executive of Vectra AI. “As attackers themselves become AI-powered, the winning defense won’t be the one with the most detections, it will be the one that delivers trusted signal intelligence.”\n\nAJ Wiggan, security operations manager at Gamma Communications plc, is quoted in the announcement saying the correlated signals help his team “compress investigation and response.” He credited the context Vectra supplies around each incident.\n\nThe product is on sale now. Vectra is demonstrating it this week at Black Hat USA in Las Vegas.\n\nVectra has raised about $350 million since it was founded in San Jose in 2011. It holds 39 patents.
