Commerce Secretary Howard Lutnick wrote in a letter to Anthropic chief compute officer Tom Brown that he "has determined that appropriate safeguards are in place to permit certain trusted partners to access the Claude Mythos 5 Model," a passage published by Semafor and quoted by 9to5mac. Anthropic had suspended access to Claude Mythos 5 and Claude Fable 5 on Jun 12, 2026, per an Anthropic company statement.
