A new U.S. map of copyright lawsuits against AI companies shows 129 total cases as of July 30, 2026, with the addition of Sony Music Entertainment v. Uncharted Labs II and the reactivation of Brave Software v. News Corp., which now includes News Corp. counterclaims for copyright infringement.

Here’s the latest U.S. Map of Copyright Suits with links to each docket. We added Sony Music Entertainment v. Uncharted Labs II , a case related to the UMG Recordings v. Uncharted Labs I before Judge Hellerstein. We also activated the Brave Software v. News Corp. case, which had been voluntarily dismissed but later refiled.
