Unitree Robotics is moving closer to an IPO on Shanghai’s STAR Market after China’s securities regulator approved the company’s registration application on July 1. The approval clears a regulatory step, but does not by itself set the offering price, online subscription date or trading date.
Unitree’s prospectus proposes raising about RMB4.2 billion, with the proceeds earmarked for robot AI model research, robot-body development, new robot products and a smart-robot manufacturing base. The Hangzhou-based company develops quadruped and humanoid robots as well as related robotic hardware.
The company is one of China’s most visible embodied-AI startups, but its public-market timetable remains unconfirmed in the official documents checked for this draft. [CSRC; Unitree prospectus]
