The addition is absent from tvOS 26, suggesting Siri AI will debut this fall, potentially as a selling point for new Apple TV 4K hardware.", "body_md": "Siri AI was unveiled in June for most Apple platforms—but Apple TV and HomePod missed out. A new leak, however, points to tvOS 27 including Siri AI after all.\n\n## Apple touted ‘One Siri’ at WWDC, but tvOS and HomePod were left out\n\nWhen Apple finally revealed its AI version of Siri earlier this summer, it touted a ground-up overhaul that would be consistent across your devices.\n\nDavid Clark, Apple’s senior director of watchOS software engineering, [explained to TechRadar](https://www.techradar.com/health-fitness/smartwatches/its-the-most-convenient-way-to-interact-with-siri-i-asked-apples-senior-watchos-team-how-to-use-the-new-siri-ai-assistant-on-an-apple-watch-and-why-its-not-coming-to-so-many-older-models):\n\n“We really wanted to make sure the Siri experience is a singular and consistent experience, whether I decide to ask Siri on my wrist a question, or whether I have my phone in my hand and I decide to interact with Siri there. We really wanted to feel like it’s one Siri, that has access to your data and is able to personalise it in a consistent way.”\n\n“One Siri” is something many users have wanted from Apple for years. It’s frustrating when you ask Siri to do something, and it tells you to ask it on a different device instead.\n\nBut missing from this claim of a unified Siri experience was any announcement for Apple TV 4K or HomePod. These products were almost entirely absent from WWDC, with [only a handful of features](https://9to5mac.com/2026/07/13/tvos-27-and-homepod-27-public-betas-now-available-heres-whats-new/) mentioned.\n\nI’ve long assumed that Siri AI will come to Apple TV and HomePod this fall, but Apple can’t announce it yet because it will be [exclusive to unreleased hardware](https://9to5mac.com/2026/08/10/apple-has-eight-new-products-to-unveil-at-september-event-report/).\n\nAnd now, new evidence in tvOS 27 seemingly confirms that—at least for Apple TV.\n\n## tvOS 27 lists Siri AI’s codename under Device Hub’s apps list\n\nWhen running Device Hub via Xcode in macOS 27, the Apps list for tvOS 27 has a new addition: Siri.\n\nThe Siri entry features a ‘com.apple.campo’ string. Prior reporting [indicates](https://9to5mac.com/2026/01/21/apple-reportedly-replacing-siri-interface-with-actual-chatbot-experience-for-ios-27/) ‘campos’ is Apple’s internal codename for Siri AI.\n\nComparing app lists for tvOS 26 and tvOS 27 simulator modes confirms that ‘Siri’ is not present in tvOS 26’s list. It’s new with tvOS 27.\n\nThis addition, combined with the ‘campo’ reference, strongly suggests that Siri AI will debut in tvOS 27 this fall. It might even come with a dedicated Siri app on Apple TV—though that’s not guaranteed, as the ‘Apps’ list includes system functions beyond just user-facing apps.\n\nWhen trying to open ‘Campo.app’ in Device Hub, an error message appears:\n\nDenying open-application request for reason: Disabled (App ‘com.apple.campo’ is not enabled)\n\nThere are no further details offered. So we don’t know, for example, if any of Siri AI’s new features will make it to existing hardware or not.\n\nBut at this point, it seems a safe bet to assume Siri AI will be a primary selling point Apple uses to promote its [new Apple TV 4K hardware](https://9to5mac.com/2026/06/22/new-apple-tv-4k-is-coming-this-fall-with-three-new-features-report/).\n\n***Shop at Apple with 15% discount on certified refurbished**\n\n### Best Apple TV 4K accessories\n\n[AirPods Pro 3 (](https://amzn.to/3Peq3Ge)**now only $189**, down from $249)[Anti-slip silicone case for Siri Remote, AirTag compatible](https://amzn.to/4wjkabK)[TotalMount for mounting Apple TV](https://amzn.to/4cSPAhs)[iPhone Continuity Camera mount for Apple TV](https://amzn.to/4cWxFqg)\n\n*FTC: We use income earning auto affiliate links.* [More.](https://9to5mac.com/about/#affiliate)\n\n[our homepage](http://9to5mac.com/)for all the latest news, and follow 9to5Mac on\n\n[exclusive stories](https://9to5mac.com/feature/exclusive/),\n\n[reviews](https://9to5mac.com/guides/review/),\n\n[how-tos](https://9to5mac.com/guides/how-to/), and\n\n[subscribe to our YouTube channel](https://www.youtube.com/9to5mac)", "url": "https://wpnews.pro/news/tvos-27-to-add-siri-ai-for-apple-tv-4k-per-new-leak", "canonical_source": "https://9to5mac.com/2026/08/18/tvos-27-to-add-siri-ai-for-apple-tv-4k-per-new-leak/", "published_at": "2026-08-18 17:56:49+00:00", "updated_at": "2026-08-18 18:10:59.421653+00:00", "lang": "en", "topics": ["artificial-intelligence", "ai-products"], "entities": ["Apple", "tvOS 27", "Siri AI", "Apple TV 4K", "Device Hub", "Xcode", "David Clark", "TechRadar"], "alternates": {"html": "https://wpnews.pro/news/tvos-27-to-add-siri-ai-for-apple-tv-4k-per-new-leak", "markdown": "https://wpnews.pro/news/tvos-27-to-add-siri-ai-for-apple-tv-4k-per-new-leak.md", "text": "https://wpnews.pro/news/tvos-27-to-add-siri-ai-for-apple-tv-4k-per-new-leak.txt", "jsonld": "https://wpnews.pro/news/tvos-27-to-add-siri-ai-for-apple-tv-4k-per-new-leak.jsonld"}}
