# Trump says he will form AI Force to be led by ‘czar’

President [Donald Trump](https://www.washingtonexaminer.com/tag/donald-trump/) announced Saturday that he is forming an “AI Force” and will soon name an [artificial intelligence](https://www.washingtonexaminer.com/tag/artificial-intelligence/) “czar” to lead the effort.

Trump made the announcement in a lengthy Truth Social post, casting the initiative as an effort to protect the rapidly growing AI industry while preventing what he described as attempts to restrict or “destroy” the technology.
